Greenpower.54
Express Energy is seeking planning permission to build and operate a renewable energy generation facility called Greenpower.54 at a site on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. A scoping report has been submitted to the local authority asking them to confirm which environmental issues they would like us to look at as we prepare a planning application.
Greenpower.54 would generate up to 30MW of energy, which is equivalent to the amount of electricity required to power approximately 47,500 homes. The project will generate electricity from a range of fuels including:
- Recovered wood
- Solid recovered fuel (SRF) manufactured from commercial waste
- Biomass - biological matter derived from plant material (such as wood from forestry, bark, energy crops, sawdust or agricultural residues, etc)
The project is under development and we intend to make a planning application in due course. To learn more about Greenpower.54 click here.
